Job Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and priming.
- Mix and match paints to achieve the desired colour and consistency.
- Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes to various surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and furniture.
- Utilize brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to apply coatings.
- Remove old paint and finishes using paint removers, scrapers, wire brushes, or blowtorches.
- Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers.
- Install wallpaper, fabric, and other wall coverings as needed.
- Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, masking tape, and other materials to prevent damage and ensure clean lines.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs to maintain the quality and integrity of painted surfaces.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
- Interpret and follow project plans, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Stay updated with new techniques, materials, and industry trends to provide the highest quality service.
- Work in various environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Relevant work experience is preferable
- Work as a Painter for 2-3 years
- Able to do Multi Tasks
- Quick learner
Salary: 39,000 to 42,000 per year (based on experience)
